How I Feel About the Project Citizen Project
"All for one and one for all" is a quote that really applies to this scenario. These kids really felt that their school needed to be fixed and they did what they could to get people to see that they were really serious. I would like to applaude these kids on a job very well done. It's nice to see that some people out in the world still care about building up America's societies and making it beautiful. If people in Beaumont had a mind set like theirs, we could have reconstructed a lot of these older schools and fixed up the random potholes and basically just made Beaumont a better place. [i guess that's why people don't know where we are now.] I,personally, don't care about fixing schools but there are a lot of other issues I would like to enhance. [not a good blog today!]

How I Feel About Political Candidates
My Ideal Political Candidate....
This person has to be a female. Why? Because I feel more comfortable around a female than a male. Barack Obama is only acceptable because he has a wife behind him to slap him silly if he were to say something stupid. I also feel that my person would have to be open to what the nation has to say. She can have her own views, but also take what the people are saying and try to help them. I think she should limit the number of people on Welfare. If they are not trying to do anything for themselves then they shouldn't be allowed foodstamps and WIC and all that other stuff. She, of course, should be ProChoice. Sometimes an abortion feels a whole lot better than having the baby. My candidate should also know what she wants to do about the HealthCare system before just saying a bunch of nothing. Going to war is out of the question. She should be like George Washington and say that our nation should stay out of other nations' issues. [the lightbulb just came on...] My perfect candidate should be a mixture of Michelle Obama, Bill Clinton, JFK, Abraham Lincoln, FDR, and Ellen DeGeneres. That is my perfect candidate. Oh! And of course she has to be stunning. A nice dresser, great looks and have hilarious jokes. And she has to be very articulate; I don't want her getting on stage and missing words like Barack Obama.

How I Feel About Political Ideology
[[OMG]] ..so i just took that political ideology quiz for this here blogspot-thing, and come to find out....I AM OFFICIALLY A LIBERAL!!!!!!!!! of course I already knew this, but it feels GREAT knowing something about my poltical standing. i kinda figured i had a liberal mentality due to the fact that i am open to everything and i dont really mind a lot of the things that may go on around me. not saying that i dont care about the govt. because it affects me more than i think [whenever i decide to think]. AHHH...feels like i just hit the jackpot or won the lottery [i think thats the same thing?]. how do you like these apples AMERICA the beautiful?!? But if you don't believe that I really am a LIBERAL and feel that I am more of a Bush-Lover... READ THE RESULTS LIKE A PATERNITY TEST. [and i am not the father...i can't make conservative-republican babies!!] I AM SO FUNNY!
On October 15, 2009, Maury looked into my eyes and said..."Kristian Angelique, YOU ARE...NOT THE FATHER!" He then went on to say that it is 100% true that I can't make conservative babies. The paperwork said that the test defined me as a LIBERTARIAN, but keep in mind that this ideology can be applied to the right or the left in the social sense, and that I believe in a minimal role of the govt. in solving problems and believe that the "Free Market" can handle almost all economic situations. HA! [i got proof...ask me the question again...same answer.]

How I Feel About the Death Penalty....
Let me start by saying that whatever pops in my head first, I'm going to type it. If my grade isn't good because of it, I'll know why.
Now for my actual blog: The death penalty is the worst invention people have yet to come up with, especially the electric chair (i think that's the death penalty?). The injection that the government uses to kill people is easier and less painful and cruel, but really, what is the point of killing people? Yes, they may have done horrible things like molesting children, killing a cop, or fighting dogs(HAHA), but do they really deserve to die? But then you have to put into perspective...what if someone raped or molested your child, wouldn't you want them to pay for what they have done? The first thing parents want to happen is for that horrible low-life to die or be killed. I think it's wrong for them to hurt these innocent children, but I think it's even more wrong for them to give a person the death penalty for their crime. With people like that, I think they should just be locked in a mental home until the end of time. Those people need a real psychological evaluation. As far as people that receive the death penalty for murdering other people or whatever, they don't need to die either. Jail, to me personally, is just a way for people to get away from their problems. When people go to jail, they are there to be punished for their crimes. But all they are doing is sleeping on thin mattresses in the freezing cold with no blankets and 2 changes of clothes and eat nasty oatmeal for breakfast (5:00am), peanut butter sandwiches for brunch (10:30 am), and mush for dinner at 6:00pm. That is not punishment because all the while, they are lifting weights, playing cards and sports, writing letters to their loved ones, buying snacks and fatty junk foods with their commissary money. There should be something else for people to do other than go to jail or receive the death penalty. Going to jail is too simple and receiving the death penalty is too harsh, no matter what the crime is.

How I Feel About the Education Speech
So...on September 8, 2009, Obama gave his oh-so-controversial [kidding] speech to the students of America. What I think is so funny is the fact that parents across the golden Triangle and the nation were writing letters to the schools and taking their children out of school because they did not want their kids listnening to his speech. I, personally, think that his speech was very thought out and had no kind of negative whatever. His speech was mainly talking about how students should stay in school to become whatever they want to be in life, except for a RAPPER, PRO ATHLETE OR ANYTHING IN THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS [so funny!]. How do I feel about this speech? I don't think it deserved all of the publicity it received because #1, it was only 15 minutes long, #2, it wasn't controversial at all, and #3, it was at times rather boring. But I feel that students in America or anywhere else should have seen or listened to what he had to say. It inspired me to really stay focused and not worry about not getting into college. Since Obama will still be in office when it is time for me to actually go to college, I think anything will be possible for me to achieve because with Obama...."Yes I Can". [ok...maybe that wasn't funny to you but it was to me!]

How I Feel About Social Contracts
John Locke describes social contracts to be defined as voluntary agreements among individuals by which organized society is brought into being and invested with the right to secure mutual protection and welfare or to regulate the relations among its members. To me, this is just a bunch of big words. To people that make these specific agreements, it means that whatever they chose to offer each other, both would go unharmed. For instance, if I say, "BillyJoe, if you can appear in court and testify on my behalf, I will be happy to assist you in whatever you need me to help you with." I don't mean appear in court like "help me get out of this manslaughter case". I am just talking like a small divorce court case kind of thing. [off topic!] As far as Mr. Locke is concerned, a lot of his views are based on social contracts. (example: People's natural rights)
Well, that's all for now but hope you enjoyed.

Random Blog pt.1
this blog is a kinda kool way to express how you feel and also allow your teacher to know that you aren't as dumb as you may sound or act on certain occasions. i, personally, have the tendency to lose my common sense in the time of need, but with this blogger "thing", I can show people what REALLY goes on in my head. -KAW
